Weekly Photo Challenge: Purple

The challenge this week: Purple.Β Another color post! Subtle, waning purple of a sunset; vibrant purple of grapes or eggplant – what kind of purple caught your photographic eye?

Share a picture that means PURPLE to you!

Stepped out in my town, when you see me you know everything. Blue and purple, blue and purple, blue and purple, blue and purple. – D Pryde

I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don’t notice it. – Alice Walker

A Walk in the Woods

Here are a few pictures I took during a walk in the woods a month or so ago. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed the walk!

Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings. – Victor Hugo

This was on the entry way to the path. Notice the frog on the lock. What does that say to you?

A genuine man goes to the roots. To be a radical is no more than that: to go to the roots. – Jose Marti

A fly and it’s shadow on an amazing mushroom.
β€œThe earth laughs in flowers.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Do you enjoy taking walks? What are your favorite type places to walk in? When you walk do you take the time to really look around you? I’d love to hear about your experiences. πŸ™‚

I’ve been thinking about butterflies today… changes, new beginnings, transformation, unfurling glory. So, I’ve included a few of my photos. If any of you know what kind of butterflies they are, please let me know in the comments section. πŸ™‚

“How does one become a butterfly?” she asked. “You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.” – Anonymous

If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies.Β  ~Author Unknown

The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough.Β  ~Rabindranath Tagore

What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.Β  ~Richard Bach

It might be dark now, but the transformation is coming!
